Gaming with Ubuntu

For all those who would dare say Ubuntu is a terrible gaming platform. :)

I found a great site that lists games in category. Each game has been successfully tested on Ubuntu, some are native linux games while others are Windows games running in Wine.

If you have a taste for gaming and want to see if Ubuntu has games you like check out http://www.playubuntu.com/

I've tried for three days to download Lava Linux and each time it times out at about 50%. Are your servers down? Or, am I doing something wrong?

I track over 3500 downloads in the last 72 hours. The servers have not gone down but you may be experiencing the server load. I have not been told by anyone that the servers are down and I successfully just downloaded the iso off our site. It also might be your internet.

most of the downloads appear to be trackers - bots - probably other sites with links or sites replicating, mirroring the iso. Is there anyone else having problems with getting the isos?

I downloaded the iso twice today and received several emails from others saying they were able to download the iso successfully. I even check with my provider who currently hosts the server which houses the iso and they confirmed that the server as well as the service to the hosted site has not gone down. So everything seems to check out. If you are still having issues downloading the iso, I am at a loss.

It is noteworthy, that when 3.0 is finished I plan on bringing the site as well as the iso inhouse on my own servers. I bloged about this planned move a couple days ago but 3.0 is not finished and it is still a day or two off. Until then 2.3 as well as lavalinux.com will still be hosted by the current provider.
